Election musings and other updates

So I have been watching the debates. Unfortunately I have managed to fall in and out of sleep as I am watching them. Hopefully during moments that aren't too momentous lol. It may be the ten hour days.

I think I am getting the gist of it...

McCain says, "Obama is too young and inexperienced to run the country."

Obama says, " McCain is just like Bush."

Only they have speech writers that know a few thousand ways to say the same thing over and over again.

Then there are the vice presidential candidates.

Palin says, " I am a soccer mom just like you."

Joe says, ( I can call you Joe, Right?) "Vote for Obama"

Now I know Palin is not "just a hockey mom"...I heard how much her and her husband made last year. I really don't know too many hockey, (or any other), moms that have that much income. Sorry Palin you are not like the mom next door! I am the mom next door and I don't make boucu bucks. (News Flash- Most of us have trouble making ends meet!)

I am not too hot about Joe either....I am not sure why Obama picked a guy who said, "he didn't want to be vice president! It doesn't give me that much confidence in what might happen if something happened to Obama during office.

However I certainly don't want Mr. McCain, a la bush clone, in office. I am tired of eight year of garbage.

It is pretty scary out there right now. Did you know that for the first time since the civil war, troops have been deployed in the U.S. Hmm what are they expecting???? Oh yeah, they were deployed to help in time of weather crisis...uhuh ....sure.... By the end of this next year there will be 4700 men/women trained to "help" us during a homeland crisis! oh I mean weather crisis....

Really check it out on Canadian news.. they are stationed at a fort in Georgia. Notice our local news hasn't mentioned it. CNN has.....but who watches CNN on a current basis.

Curious thing but my old bank....(I changed before the bank crisis)...Wamu...was closed today.

I have picked up another job. I am back to 10 hour days but at least have another client for Fridays. Will definitely help.

I also got an energy audit from the city of Seattle. I found out that they will weatherize my house as I am considered low income. Although my landlady said that her handy man had weatherized the upstairs, the auditor said there was no insulation. They hope to have it weatherized by Thanksgiving. Hopefully I won't have an 800 dollar winter heat bill next year.

So some good things have come my way.

Now if I can just stay awake for the next debates!
