Weekend before last I and my gf went to Chinook Washington to visit my mom. My son and his family had planned to meet me there. My Sister and her husband and my stepbrothers were also there. It was a great drive and the weekend turned out to be a beautiful one.
The first day it was cold and foggy on the beach brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

We went and played in the arcade. Whoo hooo! Actually I sucked at this paticular game!

This is the sunset off the bay just behind my mom's house. Not too far of a jaunt. Although it was foggy at the beach it was nice at my mom's. So the sunset was spectacular.
The next day we went out sight seeing. There is a quaint little museum that my family has been going to since my kids were knee high to an alligator. It's called Marsh's Museum. That's where I took this picture. Yep I indeed do all my own stunts! Don't try this at home.

We also checked out the local hat store located in the same little beach town of Long Beach.
We went back to the beach and it was the picture perfect day. Notice no coat, but it was windy as you can tell by my beach hair do.

My son and his girlfriend in the surf.
As you can see it was the perfect day to wade around in the water. Even the dog joined in.

My son's gf daughter and friend got down in the wet sand to build a sand castle. Not to long after that the wave came in and wiped em out.
But beware the waves....this is what happens if you don't heed a screaming running woman yelling it's coming, run! Whoops! LOL
It's funny what kinds of things you learn from your kids. While at the beach house they came in wearing a piece of foil on their heads yelling oochhh hot...ow hot. It was a contest to see who could leave that little piece of foil on the longest. I wondered what the heck they were doing. So here is the scoop. Get a pack of Big Red gum. Take off the wrapper and foil, chew the gum, lick the foil wrapper, place on your head. Whoever can leave it on the longest is the winner. So I decided to try. hmmmm foil on head...not feeling anything....oh it's getting a little warmer, warmer, oooh hot, er hotter ow ow ow, foil comes off!!! Try it! amaze your friends, make bets LOL.
Note red rectangle patch on my son's fore head from foil wrapper. It really really starts to burn and does leave this patch.

It really was a nice weekend and there was a town picnic later. So we got some family pics.

My Sis, note our shirts, Mine is the I do all my own stunts and her's says wicked. Grandma's rock!
