New Home Sweet Home

So I am in my new place and the boxes are unpacked. I love it here. I wake up like Snow White in the forest to the chirping of birds. The neighbors are friendly and we wave at each other and say hi. The kids play outside. This is a picture of my house on the outside. I have planted some flowers but it needs some more TLC. So I will be doing some more on the outside.

This is my front room/dining room. It was painted a dark blue. This is a picture of the dining room side.

So I had to prime the all the walls. This is the living room part with the stairs leading to my bedroom upstairs.

This is the dining room now. The color is sage green although depending on the time of day when the sun is shinning it sometimes looks blue.

This is part of the upstairs room. It houses my bedroom and office. This part is my bedroom. I didn't have to prime it at all. The color I chose was a teal and I thought I would try an accent wall. It took three coats of paint to get the teal to look right. I didn't realize that a dark color takes so many coats. So it pretty much will be an accent wall I am not into that much painting LOL.

After picture...It turned out great. I am still decorating it so it is a project that will be on going.

This is the other side of the bedroom. My office is divided by the bureaus and the desk. Behind this is a huge closet and another small closet. This is a big room.

I still have the kitchen to finish. I started painting it, ran out of paint and went to the paint store. I took the old can of paint with me so they could match it. But when I got home it was orange not the mardi gra gold I wanted for the kitchen. I ran out of time to get to the paint store and will take it back. Hopefully they will fix the problem and I can finish the kitchen. On my list to paint is the bathroom, the hall way to the bathroom and the spare room.

I love this house and this neighborhood. Tonight there was an art walk on the main street. It was great. This neighborhood puts on lots of community events and is so friendly. I am truly happy here.
