Blue Angels Two

Yesterday while out shopping with a friend we were surprised and pleased to be able to see the Blue Angels performing over head. We watched in between stops at stores at times. Then we were on our way back to her house when she said "Let's go to the airport and see if we can see the jets." So we started in that direction. As we were approaching an overpass, we heard a huge noise and flying what seemed like almost on top of us was the Blue Angels coming into the airport. We saw five in formation. It definately has a startle factor to look out the window and see the jets right there so close. Then as we approached the airport we could see them each coming into the airport separately. I could see the numbers on the jets quite clearly as thejets very large and they werre in close proximity to the truck. By the time we actually reached the airport they were already taxied in and lined up and parked, too far away for us to get a good look at.

I live fairly close to Lake Washington not so close as to be able to walk there but close enough that I figured I would be able to see the jets once more. I was right! I took some pics from my front yard to show how close they were to my house. Of course I know that is a relative term, as they were probably quite high up in the sky in reality. The noise was loud once more but I did enjoy watching what I could see from the porch and from my front yard.
