Blue Angels

This is the first year I have lived in Seattle. I didn't realize that when the Blue Angels came to town that they would be flying right over my house. Wow.

I was playing a video game when the noise first started. It was at first like any airplane noise I have heard flying over my house at a distance. One of the runway paths seems to run right over my house, so I am used to the noise of airplanes. But it got louder and louder until I had to cover my ears. I could feel the buzzing right in my chest. At first I was scared, like "What the hell????!!!!!!" I have been in the close proximity of an airplane crash and so have a reaction to loud sounds that are linked with airplanes. My heart was racing like crazy!


Then it happened again, and I ran outside to see what was going on. In the sky were four Blue Angels in formation.

I then stayed outside to watch them as they kept coming back around. Sometimes four in formation and sometimes just one. Wow it was really loud!!! But way cool!!!!! One of the jets did a straight up into the sky and then came straight back down with a few spins on the way down and then looped back up and straightned out. It was so close on the straighten out that I could see the colors on the jet as it flew by. The blue and yellow that is their trademark. Amazing.....
