Root Canal update

I am scheduled for the root canals next Friday. It is so dang expensive that I am working on selling what I can to raise the money for it. (I have insurance but it only covers 50 percent). So for the first time in a very long time I had a garage sale.

Always a weird experience, you never know what people will or won't buy. But the weather was nice and business wasn't bad. I sold my PlayStation to a friend along with the games I know she likes. Now I will need to go set it up for her.

So I am about 1/3 of the way to what it will cost to pay for my dental work. By next week I will be 1/2 of the way there I am pretty certain. The endodontist wanted at least 1/2 up front and it looks like he will get it.

One of the great things about a garage sale is you meet some pretty nice people. I met my neighbor across the street who just moved in. She has two kids and is interested in some babysitting.

Since losing two of my three jobs, damn the depression (whoops I mean recession), I have only gained back one. I got a raise from my steady employer and charge the new family a bit more. But it doesn't make up for the 500 dollar deficit from not having a third family. However I was working my A** off and don't really want another full time family if I can help it. So extra babysitting is going to come in handy!

I have decided to kick the habit of the goodwill, pretty much the only place I shop for stuff, nowadays. Yeah it really is a habit, the hunt for that one thing you don't need but gosh look at the price, gotta have it. I am sure I will need to put up reminder signs in my house and car....YOU WILL NOT GO TO THE GOODWILL, YOU MUST PAY DENTIST OFF! lol

Actually I am pretty serious about tackling those pesky credit cards and working on whittling down my debt. So the next time I need a root canal, God Forbid!, I can actually take the money out of my savings and hand it over.

I am planning to work hard for the next six months which means working evenings and weekends to make the extra bucks to do it. It will be worth it, I will just need to buckle down and do it. I will, I know I can, I will!
